Looking for something with good Linux support and a polished GUI to create scheduled backups and sync them with my Synology NAS

Looking like Duplicati or Borg are the best fits for what I want

there's so many, its hard for me to say

I find Timeshift does what it says on the tin, but if you are using the newest file system that you are allowed to select on install (I forget what its called), you'll have to do it another way

Timeshift. U can deselect system folders and have it do scheduled home folder saves to wherever.

#

and for manual snapshotting the system once in a while , just uncheck the Home stuff, and select all the system stuff.

Oh that's great, then I wouldn't even have to install another piece of software. I set up sync with my Synology the other day so I could just change the image storage folder and be done with it lineart_faces_ooh_shiny
