#Wasn't there a kde version of linux mint?
17 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
I have never seen a KDE version of Linux Mint in the past couple years I’ve been keeping track of it. Is it possible that you whoever you saw using KDE had just installed it afterwards?
there was. it's out of date by now. the 18-series of Mint
check #1016600711468961833 for my little recent creation. You can find the barebones desktop in Synaptic Package manager, or terminal listed as kde-plasma-desktop or kde-standard < if you want a few more supplements added.
Oh, interesting
aw man so it's discontinued?
i would install kde but i heard having 2 desktop enviroments would cause problems
i was actually thinking about hopping to another distro
perhaps debian since they have kde if i remember correctly
i'm not saying i hate linux mint btw, i love it
it's just, i started feeling like cinnamon isn't my thing
and kde seems like it's more suitable for me
and plus i've been thinking about trying debian for a while too
I have 3 and 0 problems
and I'm a complete noob
the only problem I can think of is duplicate apps (made by both DE devs)
but you could probably install a more minimal version that doesn't have them if u really wanted
