my desktop now has 2 monitors. One is 144hz and the other is 60hz. for some reason with nvidia drivers, my pc will boot with the 144hz monitor not showing up correctly. It is stuck to up to 120hz and image doesnt display correctly when its set to 120hz. Sometimes it will boot with 144hz just working with no issues. and lastly sometimes it will boot with me not being able to switch to 144hz (monitor gets no signal when I try to set it when its an option). i cant mess around with it rn but I wanted to see if anyone has any theories on what lead to this madness. the same thing happens in a wayland session too.

Have you tried running it with the nouveau driver? Can be switched in Driver Manager. Nouveau has worse game support, but it does tend to render desktops better.
