so i downloaded linux mint, my windows had a 1080x1080 resolution to be stretched, and also my monitor was 144hz, i want to set my resolution to 1080x1080 and i figured out how to make the screen 144hz but it still feels just the same as 60 hz so please help

nope u have to make custom written modeline and profile. Google the process
