Literal toddler tier question but when I install Wine from the Software Manager it doesn't seem to do anything. I am given a prompt to use any number of apps to open .exe files but Wine is not listed. Also clicking "launch" doesn't open any sort of menu (a la Bottles) but I don't think it's supposed to anyway? In theory it should just open my .exe apps, right?

Does not open executable files - "there is no windows program configured to open this type of file"
I would recommend using bottles for that (can be installed from software manager), it's more convenient than working with wine on it's own
Bottles does not work either. My .exe files are literally not showing up in the file explorer when it asks me to select an executable
If you're trying to do this from mounted ISO, try copying the contents of that ISO to your downloads folder, see if that makes a difference.
