Hello! I have this really odd issue at work with some of our linux mint machines, once we insert a usb device or similar both the screens start rapidly turning on and off.

This is the result of xrandr

And a video showing the issue https://youtu.be/TMpeEM012b8
And this is some hardware info https://termbin.com/dtqv

Problem with Linux Dual Screen.
If I attach / detach a USB drive or print to a USB og Network printer, the screens starts flashing.
I'm running Mint 21, but the problem is the same regardless of the Distro.
Tried Open Suse, Ubuntu and some others.
I'd be gratefull for any hints.

Is that a point-of-sale terminal? In any case, it looks to me like it tries to detect a new display the whole time. If that is a USB-C port, it might erroneously trigger alt-mode and make the system think you are attaching a screen. Have you tried a different USB port and medium?

It all works fine on windows, and we have tried multiple different distros

From the hardware data you shared, one display is attached via DisplayPort, the other via embedded DisplayPort. I guess there is something off with the display configuration. Have you tried running with either display connected and the other disconnected?
