How do I delete one?

wary locust
#

ok can u shrink the width of the Type header, and extend the width of the Location header plz

#

i wanna see the paths

restive rapids
wary locust
#

the key is which is the right file to keep

#

did u custom-tailor some rules?

restive rapids
#

Nope

#

This laptop IS used tho

wary locust
#

it came with OpenRGB already?

restive rapids
#

No

wary locust
#

then that's irrelevant

restive rapids
#

I put Miint on it myself

wary locust
#

pick the newer of the two files., right-click > open with text editor

#

then paste what it says here

restive rapids
#

Theres more

#

Its 1500 lines

wary locust
#

ok nvm

#

do the same thing to the older file, n paste here

#

at least the first chunk as u did before

restive rapids
#

The 1st was 1576 lines. This ones 1686

wary locust
#

hm i wonder how both files showed up

#

one of them is from 4 days ago, is that when u opened/ installed that RGB program?

restive rapids
#

I downloaded it from software manager, had an error, so I deleted that and got a deb file from the official site

wary locust
#

oh so u didnt install anything of this kind on the 11th?

restive rapids
#

Nope

wary locust
#

so I'm thinking the one from the 11th, is the newer one, from the deb u got

#

so to delete the other,

#

right click the other, and pick open containing folder

#

so it opens that folder in a new file manager window

restive rapids
#

Done

wary locust
#

show a pic

#

i dont wanna get lost on this

restive rapids
#

Right?

wary locust
#

ok so ur sure that's the older one right?

restive rapids
#

Yes

wary locust
#

ok hit the Up arrow button in the file manager, so that it goes up one folder level to the udev folder

restive rapids
#

Done

wary locust
#

no find the rules.d folder, right click it and pick open as root

restive rapids
#

Done

#

Now I can delete the file?

wary locust
#

yeah now find that exact file, right click and hopefully it has a send to trash option

#

or select "CUT"

#

and then paste it somewhere else like ur home folder

#

dont fully fully delete yet just incase

restive rapids
#

Inside of root?

wary locust
#

ya pick CUT, then u paste it else where

#

then close out. and u should be good to go

restive rapids
#

Okay

#

New error

wary locust
#

meh

#

do u have light-up memory modules?

#

if not, check the dont show again box, and then OK

restive rapids
#

I guess I do

wary locust
#

ooof

restive rapids
#

Because I selected dont show again, and got the same error

wary locust
#

ur dang memory lights up??

restive rapids
#

Whats that mean?

wary locust
#

just hit ok again

restive rapids
#

Dude

#

It keeps going to the same error

#

Im sleepy

#

Ill come back to it tomorrow

wary locust
#

ok gn
