#Did I install Linux mint incorrectly?

From what I can tell everything seems to work fine except for the fact that when I start the pc or when I restart it this menu shows up first
Did I do something wrong?
Could someone please help me get rid of this ?
This is my first time with Linux and also my first time trying to install an operating system.

no, at least it shouldn't --- i checked the option where it should have whipped the partition in witch windows was
