So I'm planning to buy a Thinkpad and install Linux Mint on it. Since I'll want to use it for drawing in some degree, I'd like to buy a 2 in 1 x390 yoga with a touchscreen. The question is, has anybody tested Mint on a x390y? I want to know if it'll work out of the box, or if I'll have to tinker with it and if so, how much. And if this model isn't compatible with Mint, are there any 2 in 1 Thinkpads that are? (Also what desktop environment would be best for touch controls and tablet mode?) Thanks in advance. I hope I’m asking in the right channel lol.

@wanton latch everything works according to the wiki but, you may have this problem https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Lenovo_ThinkPad_X390_Yoga#Touchscreen in that case follow the wiki
Thanks
@wanton latch you can also enable bios update from within the os
Is this issue documented in only this model or in other thinkpad yogas too?
