Media keys on my machine aren't working as expected. I have just discovered that if I play a video via Chromium on YouTube at some point and pause it, then go to Spotify for example, and press play then try to control it via the media keys it does not work. I have to actually manually choose via the sound controller applet what application gets control over the media keys, which is annoying and not the behaviour I expect. On previous distros which were much less user friendly, it worked how I expected but not on Mint Cinnamon for some reason. Is there any way I can fix this to make it work as expected? The expected behaviour from me is essentially for it to auto-switch media key control to the last application that was playing media.
