I have Linux dvds and currently downloading Ubuntu but would like to try Mint. My dvd drive sounds like a '64 Dodge pickup rn but I think it's still alive. Hopefully I'll have a new OS and can get rid of windows altogether at some point

If you have important stuff on those USB drives, I suggest backing up that data to somewhere else because USB storage devices are unreliable

Yeah they're in a drawer

#

Man this dvd drive sounds like an old lawn mower

#

Nuts I think it actually died. Never hardly used it until now

Oop it started up again after I hit esc

I installed ventoy and it certainly isn't a plug and play

#

My laptop takes 10 minutes to load any screen so this stuff is making me irate

#

If it's this complicated to simply load a Linux os maybe I'm in over my head

Balena etcher is very simple, but it doesn't have the same features

The only exe I found created a dialog box and I put in the usb sick with mint os but then ventoy formatted the usb and installed itself in the usb instead
