Hi, i'm using the kisak PPA mesa drivers and i want to downgrade it to the previous version without using timeshift (last snapshot is from 5 days ago). For what i understand it isn't a single package, how do i downgrade them all at once?
I found some examples on the web, do i need to install all those packages from the previous version in one command?
Here is a screenshot of the update history where you can see the packages included in the mesa drivers pack.
Thank you.

I tried this (now i think the ":amd64" was not needed): sudo apt install mesa-vdpau-drivers:amd64=23.2.1~kisak2~j mesa-vulkan-drivers:amd64=23.2.1~kisak2~j mesa-va-drivers:amd64=23.2.1~kisak2~j libglapi-mesa:amd64=23.2.1~kisak2~j libxatracker2:amd64=23.2.1~kisak2~j libglx-mesa0:amd64=23.2.1~kisak2~j libgl1-mesa-dri:amd64=23.2.1~kisak2~j libgbm1:amd64=23.2.1~kisak2~j libosmesa6:amd64=23.2.1~kisak2~j libegl-mesa0:amd64=23.2.1~kisak2~j mesa-vdpau-drivers:i386=23.2.1~kisak2~j mesa-vulkan-drivers:i386=23.2.1~kisak2~j mesa-va-drivers:i386=23.2.1~kisak2~j libglapi-mesa:i386=23.2.1~kisak2~j libxatracker2:i386=23.2.1~kisak2~j libglx-mesa0:i386=23.2.1~kisak2~j libgl1-mesa-dri:i386=23.2.1~kisak2~j libgbm1:i386=23.2.1~kisak2~j libosmesa6:i386=23.2.1~kisak2~j libegl-mesa0:i386=23.2.1~kisak2~j
It says it didn't found that version
I may be doing something wrong
@digital spire Downgrading one package may require that its dependencies be downgraded as well. When the number of packages to downgrade is large, consider using a snapshot
Ok, i'll try that then.
Do you know if flatpak apps use their own mesa drivers? The issue i have is for flatpak emulators, they give the same error of not finding a driver:
That is why i was trying to downgrade the mesa drivers since yesterday they updated.
@digital spire sudo apt install retroarch
i found the error with retroarch, the flatpak one, so i tested with the other emus. should i try with the native one?
mv ~/.config/retroarch
I also tested 2 steam games, one runing proton, and a lutris game with wine, those worked fine, only the emulators didn't work.
online updates -> update assets
update them all
drivers -> menu
xmb
restart retroarch
online updater -> download cores
download the cores you want
playlist -> point it to your roms folder
i was using flatpak version of retroarch just fine
yes?
The problem could persist if i use other flatpak apps that need those drivers, that is why i was trying to downgrade, so i can check if that update is related to the issue or not.
sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade && sudo apt clean && sudo apt autoclean && sudo apt autoremove then reboot @digital spire
look blender doesn't work either
i'll try that
still the same problem. Now i noted something form the last screenshot, maybe flatpak apps use their own flatpak mesa drivers, included on the freedesktop_platform pack, and that package updated today. So i'll try to downgrade that.
@digital spire flatpak update
Ok, i used timeshift to go back to the last snapshot, updated everything except the kisak mesa drivers; and the flatpak apps that use GL drivers still work fine. Now i'll create another snapshot and then update the drivers, to later test the affected apps.
Yup the error is back
so i'll restore to the snapshot, disable the driver update, and check later if they make some fix for it.

@digital spire try that
Now mGBA, Dolphin-emu, Blender, and PPSSPP works, but retroarch is still giving me the same error. Also PPSSPP gives an error but then load anyways. Here the messages shown on terminal by PPSSPP and retroarch:
@digital spire try the non flatpak version
the non flatpak version is outdated, and i already have configured the flatpak retroarch with tons of games and stuff. So i'll wait more time, maybe there is an incoming update soon that will fix that.
@digital spire steam also has retroarch
