My refresh rate is 240 hz. For some reason, when using cinnamon, scrolling through discord and chrome / firefox is very choppy. However, my mouse moves at 240 hz on cinnamon. Looking at an FPS test gives me very inconsistent results.

However, when I switch to i3wm, for some reason everything, including discord and chrome, is smooth at 240 fps.

i have an rtx 4090 laptop gpu, and i've heard nvidia has some problems on linux
