Hi all, anyone care to help me troubleshoot problems with my MIC? I'm on a Chromebook. Dell 3100. Kernel 5.15.0-89. Linux mint 21.2. Under Sound configuration the MIC does not get detected. I've tried installing Chromebook-Linux-Audio, but it does not work, a new kernel got installed and then both sound and MIC did not work, sound displayed then as a dummy device. I've reverted back to the 5.15.0-89 kernel.
Output of: inxi -Fxz: Audio:
Device-1: Intel Celeron/Pentium Silver Processor High Definition Audio
driver: sof-audio-pci-intel-apl bus-ID: 00:0e.0
Sound Server-1: ALSA v: k5.15.0-89-generic running: yes
Sound Server-2: PulseAudio v: 15.99.1 running: yes
Sound Server-3: PipeWire v: 0.3.48 running: yes

Would be great if someone could help me troubleshoot this problem. More details of my system can be found here: https://pastebin.com/B1uFHvw6

Just noticed that also the headphones jack is not working. Not sure if this is related? Would be great is someone could point me in the right direction.

I've made a screenshot:

It also shows no Input Devices

Let me check that post. Thank you. Only mic is not working. And also the headphone jack is not working. The sound is working well.

Wanted to let you know @snow bramble that I've switched to Fedora, installed Pavucontrol, and within Pavucontrol I was able to see the microphone. Voice chatting via Discord works, just checked it, so this problem is solved. Do not exactly know why, but it works so that's good. For reference let me post the output of: "inxi -Fxz"
Audio:
Device-1: Intel Celeron/Pentium Silver Processor High Definition Audio
driver: sof-audio-pci-intel-apl bus-ID: 00:0e.0
API: ALSA v: k6.6.7-200.fc39.x86_64 status: kernel-api
Server-1: JACK v: 1.9.22 status: off
Server-2: PipeWire v: 1.0.0 status: active
