KDE connect no longer functioning

i just finished installing fedora everything along with the KDE desktop and kde connect worked initially but after a reboot it stopped

here are some debugging steps i tred:

• disabling fedoras firewall(firewalld)
• clearing kde connect app cache/data
• force killing an restarting kde connect app
• restarting computer

i have also ran through the debugging steps as listed on their site https://userbase.kde.org/KDEConnect#I_have_two_devices_running_KDE_Connect_on_the_same_network.2C_but_they_can.27t_see_each_other

the problem was with the adblocking tool i have configured on my device (ReThink)

i thought i had allowed the app but apparently i did it wrong
