Does it do anything else besides giving bonus health? Or in the lore does it contribute to more than just simply giving health (like say more strength or power)

Lifeblood gives the user a sense of vigor and renewed strength, the extra health is how the game likes to portray it though

Maybe the color blue has to do with being half asleep since lifeblood and the abyss creature are both in the real world and in the dream realm

The abyss creature is made out of vines, the eyes look like straight up sacks of lifeblood, and appears in the room from which lifeblood spreads into godhome
We know virtually nothing about either lifeblood or that creature, but it certainly seems to be far more than what Joni is

Also the lifeblood core sidequest is kinda similar to shape of unn sidequest

i i think lifeblood has a sort of dream fortitude, it can lock itself in the deepest part of your mind but you dont let yourself in, it lets you in
