Maths is logic and reasoning, where everything else using what we already know to to make a 99.9% correct prediction
i can't be bothered to go this deep
Math is a system of abstract thought that describes the universe
The proof seems to lie in the fact that this has been made
And used
I can’t
Why does this kind of questions click-bait u like this;D
You've already proved it by breathing
Assume that maths does not exist. This implies that I do not know maths. The latter statement, however, is a contradiction. By reductio ad absurdum, maths exists. Q.E.D.
In what sense does one think that math exists?
In other words, are we considering the Platonist doctrine of abstract objects, or anti-platonist
Perhaps that it's a useful fiction in describing the world
A mere system of convention created by the human mind
This truly is just a question of if logic exists dependent of logical and conscious minds.
Well, under the right assumptions, nothing exists. If you think of abstractions as nonexistent, I could argue on the grounds of ontology that everything is an abstraction, perhaps of the arrangement of atoms, or perhaps of wave functions and how they collapse. But would one define existence that way? Once again, under the right assumptions, nothing exists, but under another set of right assumptions, I'd argue that maths exists.
