# vital kiln So then which of these things do phycomycetes violate?

it violates none, but my teacher told its an exception to cell theory , along with viruses, and o n the internet too some websites claiming that it is because phycomycetes challenge the idea of cells being discrete bcz of Coenocytic/ aseptate hyphae condition, so they’re considered a partial exception to cell theory in terms of *structure

#

but its mentioned nowhere in the cell theory about having discrete units

#

phycomycetes is rather a lump of cytoplasm with bunch of nuclei, but this doesnt make it an exception to cell theory

#

is what i think
