When I Keep Hot Water in Plate and Cup, Water in Plate has Less heat Because of More Volume

I Think it can Be Explained By thermodynamics.

Can anyone Explain with Mathematical Formula?

Even Other Liquids Can Also be considered other thanf water.

I know I may Be Asking Very Basic Questions but Trying to Revise By applying real-world Application.

Actually Thermal Properties of Matter Concept is involved,
when the Liquid Comes out in Form of Vapour it is Due to Radiation
and when heat is Transferred from the System it is due to Conduction.
And As per Thermodynamics Heat is Absorbed by Less Temperature Environment in our Surroundings.

A greater volume of water has a greater capacity to store heat.

#

If you're talking about the same volume of water at the same temperature in a cup vs. a plate, and the plate seeming to cool off faster, that's because it has more surface area.

#

Because it is through the surface that the water exchanges heat with the container and the air through convection.
