And?
-1
yeah
So, w+1.7=?
0
🤨
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
🤨🤨🤨 wait
wait why did we plug in 6
i get what i have to do now
i dont get why we had to do it
like i get it i just dont understand it
ahhhh
because x =6
and inside the function we're solving for x
so we had to look for an x intercept
Yeah
Yep
W
if i plugged into the graph
no no
i know
i meant
because from my understanding
f(x)=y
4.3 is my
input
right
It can be
rriiighhhttt
can i ask you another one or should i make another post about it heh
What is it abt?
Ask here only ig
And?
That’s one
hmmm
It’s correct
OH
But you need the other one too
Yep
yeah
So the x values are
1 and 02
Of those 2
-2
Yeah
||Is it D||
so did i have to understand what this meant for which values of x between −3 and 3 is f(x) ≥ g(x)?
Yeah
Cool
Yeah
ok cuz i dont understand the whole 3 -3 thing
What don’t you understand about it
Both the graphs are of the form y=f(x) and y=g(x)
I II III each are given situations and you have to identify if they satisfy the inequality
Do them one by one. Annotating if you have to
And that should bring you towards the answer
So when f(x) is greater than or equal to g(x) at a point, the y value of f(x) at that point is greater than or equal to that of g(x) at that point
@wet kelp
yeah im reading holon
hmmmmmmmmm
So the value of f(x) for a given x is just the y value corresponding to that x
On the graph
why did we have to look for the x intercepts specifically
cuz im writing steps on how to tackle such questions
is it because
=0
Because x intercepts are when y=0
rightttt
You can use +close to close this thread if ur done
I’m confused why you’re talking about X intercepts
oh no this was based off the first question
First question
Yeah
Anyway, @wet kelp
okok
Slow down may not be done yet
@wet kelp said that’s it
I’m pretty sure
@is.0n, do you need time to go over the stuff I said?
Np
hmm let me check
ohh okk
btw do u have any video recs for this typa topic
so i can try to understand the topic myself instead of asking every single question lololol
Hi
Eh, not really. I just use books
right :'))
Not the best advice imo
Videos are more intuitively
yeah i hate reading math
Set up
lol
good for you
I said I don’t have recommendations because I use books
Not that @wet kelp should too
i feel like half of the reason why i dont understand 90% of math is bcs ive been reading it my whole hs
I know what you said lol
I know
I was just clarifying
do u have vids regarding this topic btw
Lemme see what I can cook up for you
thank you id appreciate that soso much
Learning about functions is critical in math, especially in Algebra. Many students struggle with the concept of what a function is and how to determine is a relation is a function. This video will explain in detail the foundation of what a function is in algebra to include how to evaluate a function and what the domain and range represent with ...
Is this good for you
You want functions?
emm let me check
if it included reading functions in a graph
cuz i get the concept of functions alr
bcs, like the 2nd question i provided, i got agents explanation, but when i read the question itself, i dont know what to do and what not
Transformations or what
Sorry
nono its on me
i appreciate the help tho tysm bojack horseman
and agent if he reads this
Yw
