The boundary of this shape consists of some line segments and circular arcs.
So, just find their lengths separately, then add them.
My only question would be the part that's curved inside.
To be fair, it's the only question like this in the textbook, and probably won't be in my test, but I mean, it's better to be safe than sorry.
if you notice
this will yeild you a better shape
not necessary to do this, but obviously cuts down 60% of the calculation
yeah.
obviouslyy
yeah mb, i'm like doing 2 things at once so i have to ask more questions
and then all i need to do to find those lengths are to do the arc formula to find the length of the arc, and add that to the perimiter of the straight line segments, which should get me my answer. Imma do that, and then come back and let yall know if I solved it tysm yall.
waiting
I got the answer. 82.3cm.
I did exactly what I typed out, Just multiplied the arc length by 4, then aded 8x4, and then ended up getting ≈50.3 + 32, which then ≈82.3
