In the question c, why is the range (-1,3]?, wouldnt it be like, when x=2,25 y=8.37?
So [-1, 8,37] since y = f(g(x)) = k so it is the range of this function.

no, because when y>3, the graph will have only 1 solution (draw the line y=3 yourself and try to get, say, a root y=4 to see what happens)

But why is -1 not closed? Like (-1,3]
