it's okay but if i was you i'd specifically mention some edge cases like, when A is empty, etc. i know it's trivial but in proofs it's generally required

since when A is empty you can't actually choose x in A, so this proof fails. but, obviously, in that case, the intersection of A with C will be empty, so the original statement still holds
