what does gog(n) represent to you?
g(g(n))
g(n) = n-2
so g(g(n)) = g(n-2)
After this i dnot understand how I can get to the answer n-4?
so lets call x=n-2
what is g(x) now?
g(n-2)
nono, in terms of x
uuh...
0?
no
i think something is fundamentally holding you back from doing operations like these
what do you think is "illegal" in this context (i.e. what do you think you can't do)?
I dont understand how g(g(n)) = g(n-2) becomes the answer n-4
i know
that was my point of doing g(x)
like, we know g(n)=n-2
g(x) is simply a change of variables
so g(x)=?
wait
so
g**(g(n))** = g(n-2) this is highlighting only the thing in bold
Now you are bringing in the not bold g(x)to g(x)g(n))
right?
what is g(x)g(n)
is that a typo
uh nope

im just wondering where u got x from and where you would put that into the g(g(n))
x would be x-2?
i just let x=n-2 since you got that g(g(n))=g(n-2)
so g(g(n))=g(x)=?
uhm its very early in the morning but i can give an example problem on google drawings and hear ur feedback if u would like
i just cant speak
sure ok thatll do
g(g(n)) = n-2
g(g(n)=g(x) = g(n-2) = g(-2) = g(n-2)-2 = g(n-4)??
no
remember you want to get a closed form of g(x) before subsituting x=n-2
so we know that g(n)=n-2
g(x)=?
yes
nice
so g(x) = x-2 and we substitute it in giving us (n-2)-2?
btw could you help me with anything related to computer science?
no
im not a cs guy
