Sturm-Liouville Problem

i am trying to solve the problem numerically but first i have to transform it into Sturm Liouville form and i am having little hard time doing it.
the issue i am having is the scalar i get with derivative of cos^4(x)

otherwise (if 4 was not an issue) i could write as cos^5(x) - cos^3(x)sin^2(x) which is cos^3(x)cos(2x)

and i was wondering if it was even possible to write it in Sturm form
