A high school student completes his Biology test, which consists of 10 true or false questions, and tells his friends:
— My answers followed a pattern of incomplete arithmetic progression of ratio 1 for true options, in which each term was separated by a false alternative. The answer key ended with a true alternative.
Another student declares:
— No, you are wrong! The progression of true answers is complete geometric progression of ratio 2, separated by false alternatives. The sequence ends with a false alternative.
In the final result, both students discover that they got the same grade: 9.
Which of the following alternatives represents the maximum number of false alternatives that the test could have?
A. 1
B. 2
C. 3
D. 4
E. 5

Feel free to nominate the person for helper of the week in #helper-nominations
If you're happy with the help you got here, and the server overall, you can contribute financially as well:
start from the GP person
since you know how they answered
that’s a pretty good starting hint
Hey, I'm not asking for answers, but were you able to do this question? Is it clear how it should be done?
wait does it say “the answer key ended with true” or is that a translation thing
cuz it makes the problem really boring since we know the GP sequence
^
Might be a problem with translation, I just put it in the google translator
the other thing i don’t get is like whatever the incomplete AP is
like i assume it just means it’s like for the T/F sequence 1 1 2 1 3 1 4 1 the answers are a snapshot of the sequence?
Yeah, it probably is
Thank you anyway, I'm a little lost with the bot instructions, how do I thank you with the math ranks bot?
