What have you tried?
i dont get the question to try tbh
...do you know how to read a graph?
So then "find f(0)" should be pretty straightforward.
what does that mean
like i know x and y and how to read it
what does f stand for
It literally says "the diagram shows the graph of y = f(x)".
so y is x??
wait up
these are the answers btw, i really appreciate you helping <33
...f(x) is a function.
right
Okay, let's back up.
right so heres where i need help
A curve is a set of points (x, y).
the fucntion is an inequality
When you say y = f(x), what you're saying is that the curve is the set of points (x, f(x)).
uhuh
oh what 🤯
...no it's not, it can't be, because that would make it not a function.
...because, like I said, the curve is the set of points (x, f(x)), so if the question wants you to find f(0), where do you need to look?
right so y is zero
-3.5
but broski for x it says −3.5 ≤ x ≤ 1.5
so whats x
yes pls
The curve is the set of points (x, f(x)). You want to find f(0).
um so what i understand is that you know that f is f(0)
No.
When is f(x) = f(0)?
Right. The set of points (x, f(x)), therefore containing the point (0, f(0)).

because $-3.5\leq x\leq 1.5$ is simply a domain restriction on f(x)
flying green people eater
i.e., $f(x)$ exists only for $-3.5\leq x\leq 1.5$
flying green people eater
and x=0 is within that domain, so it is satisfied.
and i assume you need help with part b?
hint: ||consider drawing a horizontal line at a random point and seeing whether it crosses the graph more than once||
...because what's the y-coordinate of the point on the curve where the x-coordinate is 0?
You said you could read a graph.
How old are you
Irrelevant.
I find your way of texting attractive
you're straying off-topic.
focus.
Thanks for wasting my time.
