- Ask your question and show the work you've done so far. If you've posted a screenshot of a question, specify which part you need help with.
- Wait patiently for a helper to come along.
- Once someone helps you, say thank you and close the thread with:
+close - Feel free to nominate the person for helper of the week in #helper-nominations
- Do not ping the mods, unless someone is breaking the rules. If there is a conflict amongst multiple helpers feel free to ping “Helper Mod”
- If you're happy with the help you got here, and the server overall, you can contribute financially as well:
first thing you want to do is take left and right hand limits
plotting some points on the graph may help to provide an estimate of the shape
yeah i got the bit between x=-2 and x=2 but not the outside
i guess it would just come down to practise by the sound of it?
yep so that would give me the asymps right
i suppose so
you know that it will be bound by x=2 and y=x (for the right section), so finding the point where x = 3 or 2.5 or 4 will tell you roughly how far away from those lines you need to be
ty
After plotting the asymptotes, you need to find:
-end behavior
-roots and their multiplicities
-y intercept (if there is one)
-turning points
These will help to make the graph ^^
when i do these questionss, i just put x values in my the function and plot them
