Hi there,
I am in grade 11 and my school has introduced integrated classes for competitive exams like JEE and NEET in India. I joined these classes two days ago primarily to gain knowledge in mathematics and physics, rather than for the exams themselves. However, I am facing a few challenges.
Although I can visualize problems easily, I tend to be slow and somewhat lazy in solving them, which is causing me to lag behind the rest of the class. Additionally, the teacher makes the topics, such as complex numbers, quite boring. Instead of sharing knowledge and making the subject interesting, the teacher focuses solely on completing the syllabus and preparing students for exams. This approach leaves me feeling very demotivated. Also the students out there have been manipulated by the teacher and they just do what the teacher says.
What can I do to effectively self-study mathematics and outperform the rest of the class? I don't want to study with that kind of teacher. Can someone provide advice on time management and recommend good books for self-study?
