  1. Ask your question and show the work you've done so far. If you've posted a screenshot of a question, specify which part you need help with.
  2. Wait patiently for a helper to come along.
  3. Once someone helps you, say thank you and close the thread with:
    +close

  4. Feel free to nominate the person for helper of the week in #helper-nominations
  5. Do not ping the mods, unless someone is breaking the rules.
  6. If you're happy with the help you got here, and the server overall, you can contribute financially as well:

Basically what it’s saying here is that if you want to change variables ( so let’s say you integrate a function f:R^2–>R on a domain D) then you integrate f(x,y)dxdy on that domain and basically if you want to change variables so setting x=g(u,v) and y=h(u,v) you have do describe the infinitesimal change occurring , in single variable calculus it’s translated via the derivative so if x=f(t) then dx=f’(t)dt , here it’s via the jacobian determinant , so if (x,y)=(g(u,v),h(u,v)) then dxdy=
|J(g(u,v),h(u,v))| dudv

Well that’s the general idea if you want an in-depth explanation I’d recommend going on YouTube or search it on the web
