hey

#

so you're doing everything right up until this step

#

Honestly i've never seen anyone do this, why dont you just bring all of the terms to one side and solve a quadratic equation?

#

I believe that there isnt, because when I solve the quadratic, I get the answer that there are no real solutions

#

And even if there is a way, just bringing the terms to one side and solving a quadratic is the easiest way

#

So solve -3x^2 - 10x - 21 = 0 (multiply both sides by -1 to make it easier) -> 3x^2 + 10x + 21 = 0
