There are several approaches. For example:
1/(3 + 2cos(x)) = 1/(3(cos(x/2)^2 + sin(x/2)^2) + 2(cos(x/2)^2 - sin(x/2)^2)) = 1/(5cos(x/2)^2 + sin(x/2)^2)
