i have no idea what to do. Do we put it in terms of x because its rotating around the y-axis? Do i need to find R and r to integrate it? PLEASE HELP

Calculate the y-values of the intercepts by substituting x = 2 into both formulas

Subsequently rewrite both formulas to x = …

Square them

I’d recommend to also calculate the y-value of the intercept between the two formulas

Integral from -1 to 1 of 4 - x^2 and integral from 1 to 3 of 4 - x^2
