for angles that arent between 0 and 90, you can extend them using these rules
cos(180 + a) = -cos(a), sin(180 + a) = -sin(a)
cos(180 - a) = -cos(a), sin(180 - a) = sin(a)
you dont have to memorize these though
just instead of thinking about a right triangle, think about a point moving around the unit circle
cos is its x coordinate, sin is its y coordinate, and theta is the angle between it and the positive x axis, measured counterclockwise
