Fourier series on trig form, just a quick question

Hi, I'm just curious how they could write a half times, over the interval of 0 - 2. Is it because e^t is an odd function and so is e^(-i n pi t), hence odd times odd means we can take times 2 and over the half interval. But why does it then say 1/2?

That formula is valid only when the series is centered at t = 0.
