well
f(x) you can even rewrite as y
so just do y=(21-6x)/5
then swap y and x
so its
x=(21-6y)/5
then rearrange for y
did you get it
so an inverse function can simply be found by
first replacing f(x) with y
for example f(x)=3x+5 turns into y=3x+5
now replace all instances of x with y and vice versa
to get
x=3y+5
and you need to isolate y
so here i would move the 5 over
x-5=3y
finally divide 3 getting
$\frac x3-\frac53 = y$
