n^2 - n = an^2 - 8an + bn + cn + 16a - 4b - 4c

Compare LHS & RHS,
a = 1

8a - b - c = 1
8 - (b+c) = 1
b + c = 7

16a - 4b - 4c = 0
4a - (b+c) = 0
b + c = 4
