You can use t = 2u/g as an advantage
thats the time taken for an object thrown vertically upwards to come back down to the starting position
intial velocity, u and gravitational acceleration are in opposite directions so either one of them needs to be negative according to ur convention or ur quadratic is gonna be wrong
