okay note that there can only be 0 to 2 heads, that should greatly simplify it
idk if there’s a better way from there or if you just lost everything
ik that but do i have to list everyoutcome
or do i generalize
and i do not know how to generalize
like i know if the probabillity that k=0 would be 1/4 *1 since the probabllity of 0 could only be derived from getting 0 heads which is 1/4 times every possible dice roll prob which adds to 1
for k =1 it would be 0 since the smallest sum of dice is 2
but it says 0,1,2,3...
so how many more products do i do?
well find the maximum possible value and check everything below it
yea
So I have to find 24 products?
note the number of dots is just sum of the dice numbers
so you can find odds of sum numbers
then multiply by coin
Odds of sum numbers? Wym
the odds of the dice summing to something
Bro I know that
Wait nvm
You mean like
Idk can you give me an example
So you mean like 1/4 times odds of sum over 36
Or like 1/2 times odds of sun
so once you’re done your probability table for like all the dice just combine it with the heads to find all your possible values
then do a ton of arithmetic
Uhh what does that mean?
okay so the odds of rolling a 7 is 1/6 (1,6 2,5 … 6,1)
and then we can pair it with one head (1/2) to get a value of 7 with odds 1/12 and a value of 14 with odds 1/24 and so forth
7 (dice) (1/6)
with
1 (head) (1/2)
Ok how did you get 1/6
oh so there’s 6 ways to get a sum of 7
1,6 2,5 3,4 4,3 5,2 6,1
and 36 possible combinations of the two dice (6*6)
and you can find the odds for sums 2-12
You’re saying if I do that I think can get the odds for sums- 12-24 by multiplying denominator by 2?
Yea
and then the heads are either 1 or 2
Yea
so you have 1*2 1*3 … as possible values and also 2*2 2*3…
and some values appear twice in that
and you can find the probability of each like
little case
so we have 1 head
and the dice rolled sum to 2 or 3
the like product of both is 1*2 1*3
and it has a specific probability too
The like product ?
well your question wants the odds the product of the number of heads and the number of dice dots
is a specific integer
can you give me the one for k= 3 and k=4
?
