finally someone
so a vertical stretch is just multiplying your whole function by 8
for this
which gets you 8sin(x)
then to get your horizontal compression you want to make it take ⅕ times larger x to get the same value as if it wasn't compressed
so now we have 8sin(5x)
nvm 5
for a horizontal shift left you want it to reach day sin(x)=0 at sin(x+3π/20)
so now we have 8sin(5(x+3π/20))
and a translation up is just adding 4
then +4?
8sin(5(x+3π/20))+4
you didn't put 8sin...
still
try 8sin(⅕(x+3π/20))+4
bro it's been so long since I last did this
sorry
give me a sec to actually do the workings
kk
y=8sin(5(x+3π/20))+4
sigh
the wording of that problem is wildly different to anything I've been taught
even when simplifying
do you have your notes?
there online give me a sec
horizontal compression by ⅕, is that a stretch by 5 or a stretch by 0.8
it's way different to all the translation problems I've done
try fully simplifying this to y=8sin(5x+3π/4)+4

@glossy matrix has given 1 rep to @devout sky
💀
simplification error is so sad

you're a good guy
i pray for you and wish the best for you, even though i dont have a clue what that is
thank you, good luck with your work
