@kindred seal are you of any help bro?
lemme read the question
I’m not sure but you want to find the minimum of the function with respect to y right? So derive each side with respect to y and look when it equates to 0, im not sure though I didn’t really do multi variable calculus yet
nah thats not what its asking
okay
Ok ok sorry
no its okay its very hard question
its a new thing
we havent heard of
ik someone who can help
@exotic void
@exotic void
@exotic void

What do u even need help with
Wait lemme read the question
f(x,y) = y
wut
U want to minimize the y value
idk why but for some reason i was trying to find the middle of the elipse

And to find riggmost point use f(x,y)=x
idk why i missed that
Right*
give me 10 mins ill do it now
Ping Boris when u need more help
No worries now u solved the problem ☺️
Oi what
Pls do the algebra correct I don't wanna proofread
~~ u have time since u spoiler urself the riddle ~~
Btw as a check for u
It’s trivial to see that y =- sqrt 3 is the min value
Hey I'm happy i spoiled it are you mad I'm not that good at competition math
What happened to your 2 points on sphere brownian motion btw that sounded like a fun topic to delve deeper into
Wooohoo very nice
