Hi, I am just confused on how we get that form of partial fractions to solve the integral because I thought it would be just
A/x + Bx+c/(x^2 + 1)
Could someone pls explain? Thanks.

So before we decompose the partial fraction, we actually have to do polynomial division.

So divide it

#

Make it proper fraction

#

Then express it as 1+ some remainder

Okay, do you think it's helpful to just pop into channels I'm already helping someone in and repeat what I said?

Will not do next time

Pls continue

I mean, I was kind of done. Now I'd wait for the person to ask a followup question if they didn't get it and I'd answer that question.

I'm also sorry. I probably could've been more... polite about that. I haven't had my coffee yet today. I apologize.
