Is it possible to factorise this monic trinomial? or is there rules where in a quadratic b cannot be larger than c?

2 numbers have to add to equal b and multiply yo give c

for example

x^2 + 5x + 4

#

the 2 numbers would be 4 and 1

x^2 + 4x + x + 4

Its because there are cases where that works for b being larger than c

such as x^2 +7x +6
