Hi, i was just looking for some clarification or what this is exactly asking me. Am I looking for two vectors that don’t go into M or N when closed under addition or is it meant to be two vectors when closed under multiplication don’t work. Or something entirely different.

I am confused about these 2 sets

#

Aren't they supposed to be these 2 sections of the cartesian plane?

#

And the intersection of these 2 is just (0,0) ?
