Area = 1/2 × base × height
But that's to find out area ?
Yeah
Is it right triangle? Because there is a theorem about a 30° angle
Hi man
Use it to deduct back height.
Area = 1/2 × 15 × height
Depending on the triangle we can determine x
How would I work out height ?
Height = area × 2 /15 (?)
60 x 2/15 = 8?
Yeah
So x is just 8?
X is not height
If 15 is base, the line drawn from the vertex opposite to the side 15 and perpendicular to it is height
So using the 2 sides I would need to work out the last side
No, you didn't get the other side. And it's not needed
I'm sorry I'm kinda confused
Is the 1/2 x 8 x 15 x sin(30) ?
8/x =sin30
Yeah
I still have no idea how to work out x
8/x =sin 30
8 sin30 x X
8/sin30 X
Yeah
8/sin 30 is 16
Yeah
Yeah
Thank you so much! Sorry I made you explain it, it takes me a hot minute to understand things.
