im happy to help but we need more context to help
What are you solving for? Is it just simplification?
The question is. Simplify the expression
ah ok
Also 6u+3v-2u
$9p+8q-p\ \text{First, group the like terms}\ 9p+8q-p\=8p+8q\ \text{Then, take out common factors, in this case, it is 8}\ 8p+8q\= 8(p+q)$
tangerine ill let you do this, more people seems overkill
Tysm. Also this if u mind.
Tangerine
Is it correct or something
$6u+3v-2u\ \text{First, group the like terms like the last question}\ 6u+3v-2u\= 4u+3v\ \text{You are now done, since there are no common factors to take out}$
Tysm guys!
Tangerine
I appreciate it
Factorising is an important part of simplification
Everyone had their first time learning a new topic.
factorizing 8p + 8q? ๐คฃ
Yeah? Youre supposed to take 8 out
but that's just stupid in this case
Stop arguing lmao. My teacher doesn't even give a shit, she just needs the answer
in polynomials it is important
so whenever you have 10x + 10 you will write it as 10(x + 1)?
I mean u can
dude learning the concept is important, you cant just give the answers
so a polynomial like x^2 - 2x - 2 will be written like this:
x^2 -2(x + 1)
that's just non sense "simplifications"
I know but at least some actual handy exercises like
20x^2 + 3x = 0
I was just saying that it was useless. If it was ur teacher that asked u to simplify that then I would slap the teacher
that's a joke but i would want to ๐ญ
i mean lil bro is in middle school, stuffs still pretty simple there
For example factorising $2xy^{2} + 3x^{2}y + x^{3}$ would be\ $x(2y^{2} + 3xy + x^2)$, which can be further simplified into\ $x(x+2y)(x+y)$\ which cannot be directly seen from the original expression
wait did i say something wrong?
no, you're okayy
Nah continue discussing Ur hypothesis with each other
Tangerine
Even if factorising โxโ out seems stupid, it does contribute a lot to factorising the expression
Monke. We get it. You are the best math dude and anything u say is correct
i never said it was wrong. it was just useless to factorize 8q + 8p
imo
its fundamentals, i still think its important
it shows what you can and cant join together
it is really useful but if you just want to subtract something then there is not really a point into factorizing the result
Tbh. The only math required in the future is multiplication, division, addition, and subtraction. Unless u wanna be a nerdy algebra teacher with huge glasses and a weird ass suit
EARNING 20k a year

what y'all wanna become in the future
