x can be some value, but what's the value of y?
@remote crater
Give me the coordinates of any point on the x axis
0,0
Okay, give me another
Incorrect, 4,2 doesnt lie on the x axis
It's in the first quadrant
,w plot (4,2)
2,0 good
0,0
2,0
Give me another one
Notice a pattern? What's the value of y each time?
x changes, but y is alway 0
So when you have an equation
And you need to know where it intersects the x axis
You can automatically set the y coordinate
And find x
What is your equation?
How much is y?
But we know it has to be on the x axis
So we do know y
What is it?
Correct
3x - 2(0) = 6
So your coordinates are 2,0
Yw
wait let me figure it out
well that's interesting
so you have an arc
of which you have an angle at the centre
and it says that that is double the angle you get when you move the point that is subtended to the arc
but that isn't true
you can get a bigger angle if you move the point closer to the arc and smaller if you move away from the arc
is there anymore details on the problem?
