It depends what A is ..
Because as i know .. A^-1 is a function called "inverse function"
For instance: sin(x), its inverse function is sin^-1(x) or some call it arcsin(x)
If you say A^-1 = 1/A
Its the same as saying
Sin^-1(x) = 1/sin(x) which is incorrect
