With base BC, the perimeter of an equilateral triangle ABC is 40 cm, and the perimeter of an equilateral triangle BCD is 45 cm.
Find sides AB and BC

Are you sure that both of them are equilateral?

THATS WHAT

#

I ASKED

#

oh wait

#

he reasked it

#

bro u cant solve that question

#

homie messed it up two times in a row

#

one kf them has to be isosceles

#

to be able to get all the sides

#

ABC is a isosceles
BCD is equal

#

Isosceles on the first one, my apologies

#

oh ok

#

then

#

its ez

#

lets say AB = AC

#

= x

#

so 2x + BC = 40

#

and since BCD is equilateral

#

the sides will be equal

#

so let each side be y

#

so 3y = 45

#

so y = 15

#

now since all sides are equal, BC = 15

#

so 2x + 15 = 40

#

so 2x = 25

#

so x = 12.5

#

there AB = 12.5

#

and BC = 15

understood it now completely
