I also got 64. Do you think maybe for this you’re supposed to disregard order of operations? It’s very counterintuitive but I don’t see it being anything else otherwise.

Still wouldn’t work, the numbers get too big. I’ll ask for another opinion. My uncle is a math professor so if he gets 64 too, something must be wrong with the answer choices.

Update: He got 64 like us so he thought that maybe the word “different” implies that the numbers not be used more than once. But that gave us both 44 and it’s still not an answer choice. He says the wording isn’t very specific

No problem. It’s definitely a strange one with wording. Hopefully that’s what it wants as the answer because I can’t see it being anything else at this point
